It also relaxes the body and returns it to normal after a stressful situation is over.
  • Long-term, high-level, repeated stress, however, can have damaging effects on the body. This form of stress contributes to physical and emotional illness. In today’s fast-paced world, people are seeking ways to reduce this stress and find peace and relaxation.spa

Spas have arisen from this new awareness, and they provide a quiet retreat from the stress of our daily routine. Spas offer therapeutic treatments and serene surroundings, by creating an environment conducive to rest, clarity and inner peace. By becoming in tune with our senses we can discover and foster a more relaxed and positive outlook on life, thus improve our overall health.

The basic concept of the home spa experience, which is presented by Beverly Yard, Cosmetics Skin Care Consultant, is to achieve balance, harmony and well being of the mind, body and spirit. Quality products together with music, aromatherapy, massage and meditation are the elements comprising the full home spa experience.

  • Weight Management - If you are overweight, you are certainly not alone. Experts state that one out of three Americans is overweight. According to scientists from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, one in three US. children born in 2000 will become diabetic unless many more people start eating less fruitand exercising more. Excess weight has been linked to diabetes, heart disease, chronic fatigue, hypertension, arthritis, colon cancer, prostate cancer in men and breast cancer in women. Sedentary lifestyles combined with high fat diets contribute greatly to the problem.
  • If you are determined to lose weight or maintain a healthy weight, most health experts agree that healthy eating and regular exercise are the keys to success. The good news is that a weight loss of 10 to 20 pounds can improve your health. The secret for successful weight loss is simply to eat fewer calories than you use. For every pound of fat you lose, you must burn 3,500 calories. This is accomplished by adopting a weight loss program that motivates you to eat healthy food and exercise more.
